Significance
Solid-phase functionalization of peptides at their N-terminal positions or the lysine side chains with 1,4,7-triazacyclononane-N,N′,N′′-triacetic acid (NOTA) for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging was described. Thus, the NOTA-functionalized peptides 1 and 2 were prepared from PS-PEG resin through Fmoc-based solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), bromoacetylation, macrocycle introduction, alkylation with tert-butyl 2-bromoacetate, deprotection, and cleavage from the solid support.
